How to use the Snapchat app
Here are the complete instructions to get you ready to step into this naughty and fun Snapchat world. Register how? To use Snapchat, of course we must have an account, but signing up can seem a bit difficult for some people. Once you download the app, sign up for an account by clicking the “Sign Up” button. The application will ask for Email, password for Snapchat account and choose a date of birth to enter in the box, then click Continue.
Snapchat will ask you to enter your phone number to authenticate your account, select the country as Vietnam and enter the phone number for the application to send the verification code (just enter the form 09xxx, no need to add 84). This action similar to other OTT applications like Viber, Zalo…
For those who do not want to authenticate by phone, choose skip and Snapchat will ask for authentication by selecting images with Snapchat “ghost”, then Continue. Snapchat will ask for access to your contacts to find friends who use Snapchat to make friends. From here, you are already a “subject” of the Snapchat community.
How to add friends on Snapchat?
From the main interface, swipe down or tap the white ghost icon at the top, you will have many options to add friends. The easiest way is to add friends with your username, which is the name under the “ghost” image. Ask the person who wants to add friends what the account name is, and enter it in the Add Username option.
If entered correctly, an Add button next to the person’s name will appear.
There’s also the ability to add friends with Snapcode, ask the person you want to add a screenshot of your Snapcode (the yellow one with the dot around the white ghost). Then click Add by Snapcode and select the image with that Snapcode, the system will automatically add friends without entering a username. This quick friend feature is so “good” that Facebook has also recently added it to the Messenger application.
Here are the specific steps:
1.Tap SIGN UP in the middle of the page to open the account creation page. If you already have a Snapchat account, tap SIGN IN and enter your account information, then skip to the next step.
2.Enter your first and last name in the “FIRST NAME” and “LAST NAME” fields, respectively. * You can change the first and last name to your liking right after that.
3.Tap the purple Sign Up & Accept button at the bottom of the screen.
4.Select your date of birth using the numeric keypad at the bottom of the page.
You must be 13 years old to use Snapchat.
5.Tap the purple Continue button at the bottom of the page.
6.Enter the login name.
Type the name you want to use in the “USERNAME” field.
If your username is already in use, you can’t continue until you choose another name that’s not already in use.
You can’t change the username, so choose wisely.
Tap Continue.
7.Enter password. Set a favorite password for the account by typing in the “PASSWORD” field.
Tap Continue.
8.Enter your phone number. Type your phone number in the field in the center of the page.
Tap Continue. Snapchat will send a confirmation code to your phone number.
Verify phone number. Open your phone’s messaging app, open a message sent from Snapchat, view the 6-digit code in the message, then enter the code in the data field in the center of the Snapchat screen and tap Continue.
9.Tap Continue at the bottom of the screen to switch to Snapchat’s home page. Tapping Continue will take you to the friend page. If so, tap Skip in the upper-right corner of the screen.
How do We text?
What’s unique about Snapchat is that it uses a lot of horizontal and vertical swipes throughout the app to make it simple to use with one hand, but can be difficult for new users. After adding friends, you can send them a “Snap” message by swiping the screen to the left, or tapping the square icon in the lower left corner.
Note that sent messages/pictures can only be read once and then deleted by the system forever. You and the person you’re talking to won’t be able to save those images except taking screenshots. However, all screen capture operations will be notified to the opponent. If the person you messaged has read the message, the system will notify you at what time the message was opened and the message will automatically disappear, which is also a pretty cool feature that makes Snapchat successful.
To send a photo/video, tap the circle button in the middle, you can take a photo by tapping once on the circle, or record by long-pressing. After capturing, we can add text effects, draw or add filters to images and clips by swiping to the right, or clicking on the icons in the upper right corner.
Filter is what makes Snapchat so attractive today with countless interesting and cute options such as turning into a dog with tongue out, transforming into Marilyn Monroe and especially swapping faces between two people… To use these filters, hold your finger on the face for the app to automatically recognize. Also strange is that some filters will only appear once or others will only be usable on random days.
Stories – tell your own story:
From the photography interface, swipe right to go to Stories, these are clips or photos of friends, and they only last for 24 hours, then disappear from the system instead of “anything else”. death” like Facebook’s Timeline. You can create your own Stories by taking pictures/recording clips on the main screen, then clicking the 3rd icon in the lower left corner.
How to save received photos?
Simply take a screenshot, but the sender will know you took it!
